JCCA Policies and Guidelines

JCCA BREED SEMINAR PRESENTER GUIDELINES
  1. Presenter must be a JCCA member in good standing for a minimum of six (6) years.
  2. Presenter must demonstrate a commitment to the Club's Code of Ethics, a working knowledge of the Breed Standard, and the ability to communicate that knowledge to others.
  3. While it is not necessary that a person qualified to present the JCCA breed seminar meet the same minimal requirements a breed mentor must meet, she/he must have at least six (6) years of hands-on experience with the Japanese Chin as a breeder and/or owner and/or exhibitor.
  4. One who would qualify to be a presenter of the seminar must have attended a Club-approved JCCA breed seminar and at least one (1) national specialty in the last four (4) years.
  5. The presenter must have the desire to help others learn about our breed, as well as a desire to interact with those who wish to learn, and a good command of communication skills.
  6. Other important attributes that a presenter should demonstrate are interest in continuing to learn about the breed, the ability to discuss the breed without slanting the discussion toward or away from individual breeding programs, and a genuine love for the Japanese Chin.

If you have an interest in being a Club-approved breed seminar presenter, please apply to the Board or any individual Board member.
